Gaza Biennale

In April 2024, artists from Gaza began to gather together under a single project to find ways to utilize art to resist genocide, shared and realized in pavilions worldwide. Developed with the Forbidden Museum of Jabal Al Risan, Palestine, the Gaza Biennale presents over 50 artists and their respective exhibitions. Today, most of the artists remain steadfast in Gaza, while some have been displaced outside. This project places art at the forefront of a global awakening, challenges the art field to reckon with the weight of genocide, presents a model of resilience, and fulfills a desperate need to recognize the depth and complexity of human life.
