Get ready to cozy up for more group naps with our Community Engagement Associate Carolina Đỗ, generative journaling with Artistic Associate Charlene Adhiambo, and a very special brownie baking + restorative yoga session with Austin-based yoga instructor and education designer Miriam Swords Kalk.
All events are free, open to the general public, and will be held virtually (unless otherwise noted)!

Progressive Journaling with Charlene Adhiambo
(Every Thursday at 6-7pm, February 3th, 10th, 17th & 24th*)
Writing Dreams & Freedom:
Join PlayCo Artistic Associate Charlene in a weekly Zoom writing session in which you’ll use multimedia, surrealist writing exercises, and other tools to work on a piece that liberates you, whether that’s a one-act play, a poem, or a personal manifesto. The sessions will culminate with (opt-in) presentations of your work; thus, attending all sessions is encouraged, but not required. Sessions will not be recorded, but exercises and materials will be shared with attendees after each session. Come with an open and playful mind. Let’s dream & write together!

Yoga & Baking

The past two years of sheltering-in-place and an increased amount of time spent at home have introduced so many people to the joys of baking; the amount of time we spend at home may have also caused an increase in body aches and pains. We invite you to join the PlayCo community in an easy afternoon of baking brownies with a gentle, restorative yoga flow led by Austin-based yoga instructor and accomplished home baker Miriam Swords Kalk.
